Untimely
Unless I mourn alone,
Tears must validate my pain.
I can see their eyes glancing,
Thoughts milling through their brain.
In the mind
A thousand words are spoken,
But never touch the lips.
I watch the world
Around me
Crumble,
And the scale finally tips.
Translucent joy
And screaming tears,
Gasping breaths
And midnight fears.
I collect myself
And turn away,
Into the nothingness
Of another day.
Tears must validate my pain.
I can see their eyes glancing,
Thoughts milling through their brain.
In the mind
A thousand words are spoken,
But never touch the lips.
I watch the world
Around me
Crumble,
And the scale finally tips.
Translucent joy
And screaming tears,
Gasping breaths
And midnight fears.
I collect myself
And turn away,
Into the nothingness
Of another day.
