Image for the poem how you blossom ( wild things )

how you blossom ( wild things )

your strength to push through cracks
to live, and grow, stand beautiful
there is no stopping you
all glorious and brazen in your majesty
colours bold with a fragrance sought after

how you fold into nature's breath
like a cat, purring into something invisible
do you whisper back to the wind
I love you?
wishing you didn't have to leave
with the Summer

the shape of you, pure elegance
settling into every solid space
breaking out and living freely
giving life to the old worn view
vibrant trailing magnificence

how I want to sit with you
until the sun sinks to dusk
journal open, capturing the moment
this, that I never want to lose
pen making ink trails across the page
words of love, of dying, just moments
passing by, disappearing with the seasons
