My Last Poem (to the Deep Underground)
Beauty doth love the beast
hidden within the “The War and Treaty”
an elegant, lyrical feast-warm, succulent and meaty
a kindred love beaming through lofty, lustful eyes
I see it each and every time
you dip your head as not to look into mine
comes as no surprise
but then perhaps “no.....”
the realization of the depths,
of how much I love “her” so
“You make me wanna lay down at your altar
And confess all of my sins
Take your holy communion
So, I can be born again
Dive headfirst in your water
So, you can baptize me
'Cause I don't wanna live the rest of my life
If you and I can't be”
the beast doth love her beauty,
and if I must die, if I must kill
oh how my heart and soul loves her.......
…...and it always will
