Your Choice
What are you doing
When you go out there without me
How are you feeling
when you reach for someone who is not me
She doesn’t touch the same
She doesn’t fuck the same
She doesn’t call your name
Like I call your name
What are you doing
When you need me to breathe
How are you feeling
When I am not in arms, reach
You chose, and I should not regret
I should not get upset
This is what I get
When we met
I said no from the moment you said, “Hi”
You kept pursuing, and I thought I would give you a try
I should have stuck to my guns
In hindsight, that thought burned in the blazing sun
So go ahead and try the new
Like a car in the showroom
Value depreciates the minute it leaves the room
These memories were brought on by a song
It’s time to change the tune and find me a new one
When you go out there without me
How are you feeling
when you reach for someone who is not me
She doesn’t touch the same
She doesn’t fuck the same
She doesn’t call your name
Like I call your name
What are you doing
When you need me to breathe
How are you feeling
When I am not in arms, reach
You chose, and I should not regret
I should not get upset
This is what I get
When we met
I said no from the moment you said, “Hi”
You kept pursuing, and I thought I would give you a try
I should have stuck to my guns
In hindsight, that thought burned in the blazing sun
So go ahead and try the new
Like a car in the showroom
Value depreciates the minute it leaves the room
These memories were brought on by a song
It’s time to change the tune and find me a new one
