Deafened by the silence
Occasionally I find myself in position
Where conversations fade
And lapse into quiet lulls
From which I must evade.
I erupt in speech unrestrained.
Untamed wit and raging tirade.
Usually amusing and raising of smiles
But often a mistake has just been made.
There seems little buffer in my brain
To filter and process what will be said.
Thought simply exits through my mouth
And enters the world of chat instead.
It has caused bother in the past and there will be
More arguments into which I'll be led
Simply to avoid being deafened by the silence
And talking to the daemons in my head.
Where conversations fade
And lapse into quiet lulls
From which I must evade.
I erupt in speech unrestrained.
Untamed wit and raging tirade.
Usually amusing and raising of smiles
But often a mistake has just been made.
There seems little buffer in my brain
To filter and process what will be said.
Thought simply exits through my mouth
And enters the world of chat instead.
It has caused bother in the past and there will be
More arguments into which I'll be led
Simply to avoid being deafened by the silence
And talking to the daemons in my head.
