soundtrack

seagulls swoop down
pretty girls swoon past
a solitary song from
a solitary man
lifts my solitary heart.
I'm liking this world
that I claim to hate.
The smell of grass
just cut
takes me to a calmer time.

Lustfulness cracks the dream
as more pretties walk past
as the traffic
hits me in the
back of the head
as the cold breeze
brings the negative
the shit
the truth.

But there is hope
and light
cos he's still singing
a soundtrack.
A soundtrack to my
lil pocket of peace.

I'll remember him
not the pretty girls.

Pretty girls are everywhere.
