Think no winning greatness a phenotype
but hell itself in repeat mutation
helpful to demagoguery and hype
yet not a guarantee of elation;
just genes at the mercy of cosmic rays
about which Budda could not give a shit
since he has long ago lived out his days
with us remaining to preserve his wit,
as dead as any philosopher's stone
and only resurrected when we read,
assuming that we don't leave it alone,
in our animal haze of need and greed
when abandoning justice for karma...
in warped veracity cushioned by pharma.
