Let It Rain Blood

Never in all my dreams did I expect you to vanish.
Depart me and leave me bleeding with a gaping hole in my chest.
I am but a ghost of my former self, only a hollow shell.
You have taken my spirit, the essence of who I am.
Without the heart that you have taken absentmindedly from me,
I lay along side the dirt path, with no place to go.
Mourning my loss of soul, I cry; cry so you will hear me.
Alas I cannot cry hard enough for you to come back.
Blood spiked tears rain from my soul, though you dare to notice.
Without the knowing that you have what I lost, I will forever be in pieces.
Cut with the shards of my own tears turned to shattered glass.
Without you I can never be whole again, only a piece of myself will remain,
Among the rubble cave that holds what I lost.
You cannot come back to me, for now I am just a spirit.
A spirit trying to survive without water or blood.
Tears may fall from this carcass of a ghost,
But they will slit the throat of any who are weary enough to believe.
Darkened skies and clouds filled with the blood of the angels.
Let it rain blood onto those who have lost their hearts.
