Wishes and Dreams




We all have wishes and dreams and mine are of you
although there will not be a time when those wishes
and dreams will come true.

And so I name you a star in that heavenly night
but not the typical star one that is phenomenally bright
because that is how you are to me and though I will not share
this with you it is still how it shall be.

Wish.....Wish.....wish wishing upon a star.
So far away I wonder how you are.
Are you okay?
Are you happy?
I wish you these things.
I hope your dreams are coming true in all that life brings.

And so I look up to that endless night sky
to your twinkling star like a winking eye
and I am sad yet a smile,
a tear tracing my face
with this love in my heart no one will replace.

Twinkle.....twinkle.....twinkle little star.
O the times O the memories, no, they are really not far.
I only have to close my eyes and I can reminisce
of the song of your laughter and O your delicious kiss.
