Reconsecration
Glasses stained in Stygian windows
With leopard spot rims for predatory effect
Met with sanguine lipstick heat
Her flaming kiss
Is a nitro-glycerin palliative
For Soho heartaches gone mad
When her Greenwich Village tastes
Like poems on all gallows night
That sing for her last supper
When slumlords hang
A no-vacancy brand of fascism
On the rookery gates to skid row
While the arterial Cathedral
For her sacramental corpuscles
Is reconsecrated to Aphrodite

This poem so clearly spells out sounds and perhaps scented memories of London, Soho was an area that used to be quite alive blooming in an air of expectation. Through reading your poem I thought dearly of London, thanks for bringing back some great memories, greetings and blessings,

Rianne, I am thrilled that my poem brought you back to that place and time in your life. Really completes this poem for me. Love how my imagery here spoke to you of that precious memory.
