List #12: Questions I've Been Pondering Lately
1. Why is space so incredibly vast? Is it just a mall with billions of empty stores? I mean, really, what's it being used for?
2. Would quitting my job be cowardly or brave?
3. How is it possible that so many Americans support Trump?
4. Am I agnostic or atheist or just someone with no desire to own the "truth"?
5. Where can I move that's not all guns, Trump, and Jesus?
6. How am I going to find the motivation to go on a diet? I don't want to break up with food.
7. When should I get a new cat? Should I force myself to look in more than one
shelter, knowing I could easily fall in love with almost any cat?
8. What would it take to open a cat cafe? And why isn't the whole country
switching to this model, rather than keeping cats in cages
9. How do I make peace with things I can't change? And sorry, the Serenity
Prayer just does not have enough caffeine for me. My festering is industrial
strength.
10. Where and when should my next overseas trip be? What's really powering the decision?

I've had a number of trips to Europe, but not eastern Europe, which is my ancestry. I've also been to Israel, Denmark, and Iceland. My top contenders at the moment are Norway and Japan. I'd also like to go on a cruise, almost anywhere.
Thanks for the RL.

My parents went to Tibet. My mom got terrible headaches from the altitude. I probably would too, but I'd still go if I could.

You underestimate the importance of space.A ship on the horizon doesn't exist without space around to support it.Even your own body is 99% space, remove it and your nothing.
As for Mr Trump he is not the problem. The American people are the problem. They are aware that their empire is collapsing and think the only way to save themselves is by punishing others.Off they go to Church and call out God's name but he/she/it is just another tool they created to keep what power they have.Bad people, maybe.Dumb people, without a doubt.
Your poem seemed to work It got me thinking and isn't too that the whole point.
Well done you.

Love your perspective about space. I needed that.
As for the rest of the comments, I need to think about them.
Thanks for the read and food for thought.

I love space & I love these lists. Physically I take up very little space...mentally there's not enough space in my galaxy. Cool piece my friend.

I need to take up less space, although thankfully, unlike some men I've dated, I'm not a gas giant.
Glad you enjoy my lists. Much appreciated.

On the question of trump. He spent a billion dollars of his own money on his first campaign. Who know's how much money was spent on his second campaign.

It's all about money at this point. King Trump and Herr Musk leading the Oligarchy. Thanks for the visit. Good to hear from you.

Eek- even the Big Apple has been infected by #5? I think of NYC as more liberal. Thanks for the big like.

Mary, I appreciate your vote about quitting my job. The school year ends early in AZ- May 23rd, so I keep telling myself I can make it until then. But then again, it's over three more months of intense stress, and having to go almost 4 1/2 hours in the mornings without a bathroom break- while on a diuretic. Not fun. Meanwhile most of my students seem to think they need a bathroom break every half hour.
Glad a list poem fit the bill for you.
