The Continuum of Ideal & Real Self. (for me)

I'm feeling more real as I am.      
More real than I'v ever been.      
A continuum, spectrum like exists.      
Between the Ideal self & the real self.      
A spectrum that were all on.
      
The Ideal self, is the person.      
We think others want us to be.      
Conforming to this image.      
We collude with others to fit in.
What ever the cost.
  
The true self, not to others.      
Rather to our true selves.      
As nature meant us to be.    
     
Every time we collude with others.      
Our perspective of what we should be.      
Nudges towards this Ideal self.      
Further away from who we are.      
Or who we want to be.    
     
Being real to others & to our selves.      
Is not as easy as it seems.      
If your a homicidal manic.      
Best not to follow this code.      
Otherwise Its best to find & be yourself.      
Without blame or harm to others.    
     
Best of luck as we all sail along.      
The path of the ebb & flow of the tide.      
Between real self & the Ideal self.  
Or who we really want to be.
