Mothers of pearls.
I shucked the oyster
Spreading the fleshy outer shell.
If there was a pearl in there
I coulld not yet tell.
You know you can discern a real pearl from a fake by rubbing it against your teeth.
With probing fingers and hungry lips
my jewellers mounth ready to appraise.
Her oyster hid the most magnificent pearl.
