intrepid need insults my intelligence
and I succumb to the grief it causes
inside a raging storm of feeling
angry lust insinuates love elsewhere

such a grand feeling
to be titled so
when it usually brings devastating pain

thoughts of us, keep plaguing me

trashy and over hyped on my own ego

to be ripped apart by your prying eyes

and labelled a failure
because I've never tasted happiness
for more than the briefest of moments

in came the rain and hail of our days
and battering of our union
my passion grows and you get cold
I guess we've taken our turns over the years
looking back to the days I didn't see you, I regret
sigh, to turn back time
and be your friend again, so in love
so I'll hold you like there is no tomorrow and shut the world out
