enticement
Again it’s plain
that reading of,
and getting comments on
the poetry
one sends
to D U P
depends
not on it’s quality
but on the fact
that one has noted that
the topic of one’s posts
is lust and lechery.

Re. enticement
I would have to disagree with you. There are many writers on DUP that write exceptionally well. I have noticed that people are shying away to comment due to feeling that they have to prepare for a confrontation when they wanted to show you support.
I will speak on my actions. I have commented on a few of your pieces, and I did not receive a comment on the response. Do I need a comment no but to assume people will read your work is irrational, like me expecting you to give me a response.
There are new people coming in all the time and I am sure they will enjoy your work.

Did I say otherwise?
The issue iI was raising s whether the postings labeled "erotic" in nature are the ones that get the most reads
And how do you know that "the reason that "people are shying away to comment due to [sic --- from commenting on my submissions is due] to feeling that they have to prepare for a confrontation when they wanted to show you support."
Have you been in touch with all posters on DUB about why they have not commented on my pieces?
And is it rational to believe that comments should always receive responses?

Re: Re. enticement
No, it's not rational to believe a comment should receive a response but it is nice to get one.
As far as the erotic title, people are drawn to it. It cannot be helped. I believe that once they read your work, they can relate to it. They will continue to follow whether it is erotic or not.
("There are many writers on DUP that write exceptionally well. "
Did I say otherwise? ) You did not and I apologize for that statement.
I have not been in contact with DUP members about your writing. Just looking at past posts and I can see where it will make anyone shy away from commenting if they feel that you are not happy with their point of view.

The posts I have shown myself unhappy with are ones that are off- point, ill-informed, and are groundless in their criticims

"No, it's not rational to believe a comment should receive a response""
So why are you put out that you don't receive them?
"but it is nice to get one."
Just as it's nice to receive them when I ask for them -- as I do with every submission that I make.

I am not put out not to receive a response. I used that to show you that not everyone will comment.

I agree.

Again, why I don't get comments is not the issue I raised. And your explanation for why my non-erotic pieces do not get as many reads as ones I've labeled "erotic" do needs to be supported with evidence to be considered valid And how your not receiving responses from me on your **comments** on my poems shows why people do not read my submissions of poetry is beyond me.

Okay, let us back this up.
Most people here like erotic writing. Not saying all. If you go to the home page and look at erotic themes you will see a lot of reads. Some do not have comments But the numbers are high.
So what I am saying is that people will read what they are in the mood for and if it's erotic that is what they click on.

Re: Re. enticement
What I am saying -- and have been saying all the while -- is that if you want to guarantee that a submission will be read, label it "erotic". How is this not clear or in need of going back to the start of this thread?
