Beneath My Skin
I found you shivering in the dark,
A wounded thing, a dying spark.
I wrapped my hands around your flame,
Whispered love, and took your name.
You call it torment; I call it grace,
To leave my mark on every space.
You begged for peace; I gave you fire.
Your broken heart became my choir.
Fall into me—
I’ll make you whole.
Break yourself—
To heal your soul.
I am the hunger beneath your skin,
The sacred void where you begin.
I wear your pain like a second heart,
A tapestry I pulled apart.
You tried to run, but don’t you see?
Your every step comes back to me.
I am the cradle, I am the cage,
The gentle hand, the quiet rage.
You asked for truth; I gave you lies.
And still, you kneel before my eyes.
Fall into me—
I’ll make you whole.
Break yourself—
To heal your soul.
I am the hunger beneath your skin,
The sacred void where you begin.
Do you feel me in your veins,
The gentle pull, the sweet remains?
I am the love that leaves you torn,
A twisted vow you’ve always worn.
Call me savior, call me sin—
You’ll always crave what’s within.
Fall into me—
Your fight is done.
Lose yourself—
I’ve already won.
I am the ache that pulls you near,
The shadowed love you’ve learned to fear.
I’ll linger here, beneath your skin,
A lover’s touch, a whispered hymn.
And when you break, you’ll understand,
You were always mine, by my hand.
