Electric Cadillac

an electric Cadillac
plugged in just ahead
of where I'm  parked writing
somewhere where I sped

to watch for sunset
on this winter day
as January's slipping
slowly away

daylight keeps increasing
and every nighttime shrinks
paying homage to the Sun
for our electric links

whenever opportunity
comes my way
it's cosmically inspiring
just to stay
