Yin & Yang

It’s yin and yang,
the dance of light and dark,
each needing the other
to keep life balanced.
We tug at the threads of blame,
claiming truth on either side,
but in reality—
neither of us is always right
nor always wrong.

We move through life,
clutching at self-preservation,
yet sleepwalking in the shadow of our own minds,
unaware of the darkness we fear.
If you fear your shadows,
know this—
you haven’t touched divinity yet,
there’s still more of you to unfold.

Place your bets,
players of fate—
who will reach the end first?
But know, contender,
once you cross the line,
you’ll find time was always an illusion,
and this whole journey
was but a dream
we all shared.

We’ll reset our clocks,
but life won’t change,
we’ll keep spinning in circles,
waiting for something to shift.

Come closer,
lean in just a little more,
you hold the keys to your kingdom,
the power within you
has always been yours.
The powers that be want you to believe
you’re out of control,
but the truth is,
you’ve always had the reins.

It’s yin and yang,
both required to keep life balanced.
You strain to be the bigger person,
only to snap when the weight of the world
becomes too much to bear.
What are you doing?
Pick up your cross,
carry it with me,
through the fields of love and hate,
plundering and healing.

Trust me,
being you is a full-time job,
and no one can do it better than you.
For both the light and the dark
must find their rhythm,
their pulse,
their dance—
in order to find that fragile peace
that hums just beneath the surface.

It’s yin and yang,
both required to keep life balanced,
for without them,
the world would stop spinning.
