Close Encounters
In my heart
and in my mind
I was slowly starting to forget
Nothing could ever have prepared me
for this
When I saw you
on that packed street
the buildings,cars and people disappeared
When we embraced
I felt my lungs collapse
Shortly that moment elapsed
I found myself on my own again
Asking myself questions
I should have asked you
The gray clouds turned into embers
as you and your friend
got swallowed by the setting sun
This might be the last time
I ever see you
It always feels that way
and in my mind
I was slowly starting to forget
Nothing could ever have prepared me
for this
When I saw you
on that packed street
the buildings,cars and people disappeared
When we embraced
I felt my lungs collapse
Shortly that moment elapsed
I found myself on my own again
Asking myself questions
I should have asked you
The gray clouds turned into embers
as you and your friend
got swallowed by the setting sun
This might be the last time
I ever see you
It always feels that way
