Bo's Shadow

Bo was 6 yrs old when he made a full body
silhouette in class. He chose black paper and he carefully cut it out and brought it home proudly.
He called it his shadow.

He taped it to his wall near his bed and there it
stayed for 3 years. The longest our mom had ever stayed in any apartment.  The building was owned by our extremely perverted aunt. She liked to touch him.

So did our Mom. The entire family was like that.  He
secretly told me that he put his soul into his "shadow" to keep it safe from mom, our aunt - the entire family!
Every day he'd checked on his soul with Shadow.

He was nine when Mom accused him of stealing a pack of cookies she'd never bought.  I did all the shopping and shoplifting.  With glee, Mom tore Shadow to pieces as punishment.  Cunt!

Bo was never the same. He boxed up the pieces and still has them at age 41!  He can't hold a job and has attempted suicide several times.  His relationships with both sexes never last.  Now, he has lung cancer!

He justly blames our mother.  Sometimes we visit our Grandma's grave - where we spread Mom's ashes and together we piss on both of the monsters. He brings the shoebox with Shadow's pieces with us.
