an inflection of doubt makes me hesitate
your connection unsecure I pull back
the dark speaks and genuflects
seemingly effortless

seeking affection from an intelligence unlike our own
feelings evolve and take form
we were made from dreams
visions of the future seen
in the mind's eye, of the one spoke things into being

your soul is part of a universal love
you were desired
alone in the vast he longed
for companions of substance
a great compassion, was given the shape of human
experiencing the world that came into being

we are one with space and with each other
some would question this assertation
but I've observed many times us poets being on the same wavelength
it is interesting, we connect on a deeper level
forming thoughts and morality from experience and observation

my growth since I first began this journey has been beautiful
my patience tested grows me in understanding
wisdom is gained when we travail
grateful for even the smallest of things
I'm becoming a companion to God
