of the wilderness
Moderation?
Do I look moderate to you?
Passion is my strength
Moderation is my struggle
The turbid sea & biting wind
The rugged mountains & the driving storm
These speak the language of my heartbeats
Dive me deep
Let my turbulence seep
Into your sleeping crevices
That I might waken
Every part of your soul
But
tell me truthfully,
Ought I moderate
These years of longing?
For you, yes, for you
I would
(such as I could)
But if you ask, please know
This wilderness is difficult to tame
Have you the patience
To direct and soothe my fervor?
Can you contain this flame?
Do I look moderate to you?
Passion is my strength
Moderation is my struggle
The turbid sea & biting wind
The rugged mountains & the driving storm
These speak the language of my heartbeats
Dive me deep
Let my turbulence seep
Into your sleeping crevices
That I might waken
Every part of your soul
But
tell me truthfully,
Ought I moderate
These years of longing?
For you, yes, for you
I would
(such as I could)
But if you ask, please know
This wilderness is difficult to tame
Have you the patience
To direct and soothe my fervor?
Can you contain this flame?
