Nora

A witch
Upon her broken broom
Came a'crashing through my window
Into my bedroom
Sending ornaments, and such like
Smashing to the ground
I was to stupified
To say anything profound
Then she spoke,
As quietly as a wisp of smoke
"I don't suppose, if it's not to much bother!"
"I could trouble you for a cup of tea?"
So i wandered into the kitchen
Full of mystery
Wondering whether i was dreaming...........
By the time i returned to my room
She was sat down looking relaxed
Everything seemed normal
As all the mess, and chaos
Had been fixed, including the broken window!
All as if by magic
We got talking
As she explained
That her broomstick
Had of late, gone a bit feral
I enquired as to her level of magic
And she told me with obvious pride
That she could do anything!
So i asked her to turn me into a cat
And just like that
I was a cat!
Then quick as a flash, i was me again!
Try again she said, anything at all
Now you may think me daft
But i said "giraffe!"
So we stepped outside
And i had nowhere to hide
I didn't really like being so tall
What with my fear of heights, n' all
"Could i be a butterfly?"
With no more than a tweak of her wand
I was flying on the soft breezes
I felt so free!
Until blown into a spiders web!
"I don't suppose i could be a mermaid?"
Then as quick as another flash
I was a mermaid, making a splash!
The witch thought me a bit dim
When i said that i can't swim
"You are a silly filly!" said the witch
"Like crashing through windows?"
We both laughed!
Well i laughed, she cackled!
She is a witch after all!
She told me her name is Nora
And i already adore her
I know we'll meet again soon
I won't be surprised if it's on the moon!
