Tears Of A Snow Drop

The nimbostratus was unprepared
The snow it carried
Hadn't quite yet frozen fully
The snowflakes
Were getting restless
And started shuffling around
Within the cloud
Desperate to escape
So much so
One solitary snowflake
Was pushed out of the cloud
And began to slowly drift
Towards the frozen earth far below
About half way down
The sun
Shimmered, and danced
Through the heavy dark clouds
Directly onto the snowflake
Melted
And then became an icy teardrop
Falling eventually, into a small pond
With barely a splash
She dissipated into the cold water
Like a drowning tear
And was gone
Lost amongst a million others
