Damp Concrete

Little boy with little joy
The past is cast
There's no rewind

Wild child exiled
The mom is gone
There's no more time

For here I sit on this wet ground
Wondering where my memories went
For what is left feels so profound
And what is found has left

Little time for me to find
Any depth for shallow breath

So long it seems
My dreams; so long
Stretching thin; long gone

Reminisce what it all meant
Temples pressed; depressed
Hindsight aced for each failed test
With stress that will not rest
