HER LOVE TURNS MEN INTO FOOLS
My mind is constantly on you… my heart skips beats—what is a man to do?
I cannot breathe; my lungs feel as though they are collapsing within.
I sit here in deep thought, consumed by you,
Wondering, hoping that you are lost in thoughts of me too.
My soul aches in a way that words cannot explain—
Life-threatening, intoxicating, addictive, and insane.
I fall to my knees, weakened at the sight of you;
Love courses through my veins, and your name breaks through.
Man… this kind of love turns men into fools,
It drives them to madness, breaking all the rules.
Help me… I am falling still. How deep is this hole?
I have yet to see an end—your love consumes my soul.
Do I dare run from this power, when I have none?
Is my soul doomed to her existence—can this battle be won?
But is that so bad? Should one person hold so much control?
I ask these questions, yet I’m caught in her web—
My heart now belongs to her, plugged into her soul.
Tears streak down my face, as confusion and passion collide.
Her love has bitten me—its mark I cannot hide.
Her love turns me into a fool… hypnotized at her call,
I listen, I obey, I surrender—I give her my all.
Her love turns men into fools…
And I, too, am a fool for her.
I cannot breathe; my lungs feel as though they are collapsing within.
I sit here in deep thought, consumed by you,
Wondering, hoping that you are lost in thoughts of me too.
My soul aches in a way that words cannot explain—
