The Struggle...

Trapped in a cage,
Demons shift and twist,
Tattoos of ancient symbols
Etched on worries weary face.

Across the river, the wizard watches,
Sword in hand, silent sentinel.
Waterfalls tumble and crash—
Magic stirs, the gate will open.

Beasts soar through frozen skies,
Ice-cold shards tear at flesh.
Claws stretch to shatter the mind,
Yet in the breath of the great dragon,
The tattooed child stands alone.

From within, he draws the wickedness,
Freedom's fire burning bright.
Arrows fly, shattering the air,
Ancient flames tremble in fragile hands.
The weak ignite with fire-lit eyes.

Golden, ethereal light ascends,
The white bat snarls, fangs bared.
Feet lift, shedding their heavy chains.
Darkness expelled, righteous flames
Scorch the wicked lands.

The golden dragon cries aloud,
Its voice piercing through the void.
Beasts convulse, their darkened cores
Splinter under the weight of evil.

But from its broken belly bursts
A three-headed monstrosity,
Crowned with fire, ice, and venom,
Its roar shattering the heavens.

Eyes blaze, magic swirls
Ancient symbols shield the soul
From shadows' strangled cries.

The valley burns with spectral light,
The battle rages without end.
Souls dangle precariously,
Destined for the conqueror’s claim.

Scarred men walk through ash,
Flesh burned by fire and shadow.
The darkness whispers with venom:
"I will kill you."

Yet I stand, my only reply
"I'm used to it."
