Yellow sweater
A yellow sweater, soft and warm,
Wrapped around me in the night.
His arms, unknown, but felt like home,
In the slumber, I was lost.
I held on as if to never let go,
My tears would fall.
A quiet cry,
No words at all.
I woke up, cheeks damp,
Their warmth lingering as if they were ever there.
The warmth stayed close,
A quiet ache, him I called, a home
Wrapped around me in the night.
His arms, unknown, but felt like home,
In the slumber, I was lost.
I held on as if to never let go,
My tears would fall.
A quiet cry,
No words at all.
I woke up, cheeks damp,
Their warmth lingering as if they were ever there.
The warmth stayed close,
A quiet ache, him I called, a home
