Two
Stalwart stones
These pillars two
Bone of bone
Sun and moon
*
The moon
Sickled, low
As though
To scythe the velvet night
Of countless fires
Dying
With dawning's light
I am old
Ancient of days
Of soul
Even drunken moments
(Past)
Of drink or drug
Forgetting
All but what is
The pain of life
Paradox/Paradise
Time hollowed me
Removed memories
I wander wilderness
Like trackless sea
In vain
The starless moon
Low, round
Pale
Still seeks to share
The sun's sky
Two
Come E'vn's fall
I remember you
When I was young
A child
In timelessness
When sun wrote memories
In rippling grass
Black birds on a line
O'r field's
Dried husks and clods
Frost raised white
Etched on edges
As I learned seasons
Once winter held snow angels
Blanketing
Tree and bush
Rock and stone
White as my breath
Now ghosts of the past
Jachin and Boaz
Do you know what they mean
The innerness of things
As I know you
Who I cannot find
I knew you teenage young
When fires burned wild
You asked me to "kiss" you there
Again
Head in your hands
Tween creamy soft thighs
As you moaned to my worship
I knew you grown
When love wreathed breath
Round our kiss
But now we know
Love crucified
Between the thieves
Of want and need
And the grass on the other side
Is always green
I've come to a time and place
In a distant space
Where meanings are unwound from what they mean
And anything can mean so many things
Seasons change
As too the moon
The wax and wane
Where are our stars
We pillared two
Neath sun and moon
I see distances rolling green
Hills like the sea
I am here, weathered, worn
Somehow, still yours
Young yet old
Before coming storm
And wonder
With whom will you stand
These pillars two
Bone of bone
Sun and moon
