In My Car

Crazy how sex and love is a mystery,
You can make love, save it in history.
Choose lust and regret, like on NDE,
I choose it now and see it on DVD.

In dilemma in this vehicle,
At a T-junction, hoping for a miracle.
Left or right, I’m under pressure,
It’s time to put that DVD on and give myself pleasure.

Feels like this car is not enough,
Water won’t clear the front window rough.
I cannot see clearly—green or red?
Guess I must innovate, open the side window instead.

In this car, trying to please everybody,
Pimping it every time, wasting energy.
Can’t even please myself—when it gets old, I want another,
Oh, it’s a V6 engine in 2010, but a V8 in 2020.

It’s getting hot in here, thirsty and sleepy,
The sun is too bright, the windshield’s cracking deeply.
Traffic crawls slower than yesterday—so cumbersome,
All the cars around me honk, and I’m tired of the humdrum.

Hear me, son, this car was awesome in its days,
But now it needs a push to keep up its pace.
The ones that push this aren’t like the others,
They’re unseen, for the visible cars wouldn’t bother.

Son, remember, there’s no freedom in your Toyota,
Lamborghinis will dictate how to pimp your quota.
Their word is law, their fans in awe,
But shock them all when you rewrite the draw.

In my car, the engine’s dying and resurrecting,
Time to upgrade and keep reinventing.
It won’t be a V6 anymore, not a V8,
I’ll pump it to something infinite—V∞ awaits.

Herein lies the power of an authentic car,
It may be old and tired, but its engine’s the star.
Its core burns hotter and cooler than before,
Herein lies the freedom to create and explore.
