True story.

Funny, both my brothers are conservatives, and yet we love one another. We just don't discuss politics. I'm sure I'd feel differently if either attempted to force their views onto me.

They attempt it when they vote.

True. But. . .everyone must have free choice. It does hurt though when it's family.

It's a matter of which side is pushing something intrinsically totalitarian, and which side isn't. Democracies need to do a better job of weeding out the totalitarian policy options for the electorate BEFORE they are put up for a vote.

Can't stand to even be in the same room with some of them anymore.

Only thing to do is walk away and cut the loss.

I've got an older brother who thinks the old testament is the end all be all.

I won't associate with him at all anymore.

There has to be some consequence for stupidity, and if he ever gives me shit about it I can just say I got the idea to "shun" him from his favorite book.
