Hearts

In the shadows of a love once bright,
Where whispers of the past take flight,
I wandered lost, a heart in pain,
Through shores of sorrow, in the rain.

Each memory a thorn that stings,
Of broken wings, woken dreams
A love that soared, then fell apart,
Left echoes deep within my heart.

But time, the healer, eventually came,
To mend the wounds, and the brain
With every dawn, a chance to grow,
To find the strength to let it all go.

Through sleepless nights and endless sighs,
I learned to see with clearer eyes,
That love, though lost, had paved the way,
For new beginnings, brighter days.

From ashes of a past so cold,
A pirate rises, brave and bold,
With dreams of hope, I sail abroad,
Transformed by loss, of those I loved

No longer bound by chains of yore,
I seek the light, the open door,
For in the depths of pain, I found,
A love for self, profound, unbound.

So here I stand, with heart anew,
A testament to what is true,
That from the ruins, we emerge,
Stronger, wiser, on the verge.

Of love that’s pure, and deeply known,
A garden from a world the sun has shown,
For in the journey, I became,
A soul reborn, a brighter flame.

Hearts, are all we ever are
Hearts that hurt our very heart
Hearts that sing, Hearts that scream
Hearts that always find new dreams
