A Very Happy Day
A very happy day,
was the day I met you.
I didn't know what to say,
Wasn't sure what to do.
My heart is beating fast,
And I feel so strange inside.
You don't remember me last,
And you're always at my side.
Following the stars light,
Down a path of broken hearts.
You slowly entered my sight,
And my life could truly start.
Such a happy moment,
When you took me in your arms.
I will always treasure it,
I will keep the memory from harm.
So this poem is for you,
From a girl whose fallen so completely.
Such a reality you already knew,
But I still hope you'll always be with me.
I love you so much, that is obviously true.
You're the best person that's come to hold my hand.
If you were to let go I'm not sure what I'd do,
I'd be so helpless without your love, that I understand.
So happy belated birthday,
In this special time of year.
There isn't much else I can say,
But I'm happy as long as you're near.
I love you, Daniel. <3
