The Truth Fairy
Under the pillow, a tooth was placed.
A child waiting, all snug in haste.
But a different fairy, with wings so bright,
slipped into the room in the middle of the night.
Not the Tooth Fairy with glitter and cheer
but the Truth Fairy, solemn and near.
With a sigh, she whispered, “It’s time to reveal
the secrets and truths that life may conceal.”
In dreams the child was gently led
to scenes of truth, both hoped and dread.
A mirror showed friends who might betray
and promises broken along the way.
Eyes filled with wonder, sometimes with tears,
for truth is heavy with unspoken fears.
The Truth Fairy held the child’s hand tight,
guiding through shadows and glimpses of light.
“Here’s the courage to face what’s real,
to mend the wounds and let hearts heal.”
Her voice like a lullaby, tender and strong,
echoed the wisdom of righting the wrong.
As dawn approached the truth had been told.
The child awoke feeling wise and bold.
Though dreams were heavy the heart felt light,
bearing the gift of truth's soft might.
Under the pillow no coin was found.
But a newfound strength, profound.
For the Truth Fairy leaves no gold or toy
just the power to face life with joy.
