to grieve the spirits
intensity in a smile I could light up your life
or bring you down with a frown
darkness sparks attention
but my demons aren't playing
they seethe when I'm hurt
growling their intentions, you may scoff
but they are dangerous
insidious need grows and I get close
falling in love, they sense it
people who don't know me come near
soon they recognize it in my eyes
forlorn and gentle
I don't know where the dark came from
gripping my desire
it seems to go out on the air when I'm in lust
caressing my passions, my fascinations materialize
sigh to touch a soul
lingers the doubt and I stop
afraid of the outcome
standing silent brimming with need
quietly I talk to you
to frighten isn't my intent
my thoughts wander to the black
wondering where they came from?
lacey plaything for the immortal
drpping sin, to be gazed at, not touched
if you come in closer,
be wary not to disturb the restless spirits that gather,
picking at the spectacle I am
grieving the soul within
intensity in the moment
you may not be able to resist
I'll watch from afar
to see if my demons approve
