vulnerable rain
catching rain in my soul
my heart is cleansed
beautiful day when the storm rolled in
carrying away my hurt on the winds
to be blown across an open field
I watch the gray sadness collect as fog
lighting on little flowers to open later
scribed on their petals my soul's sadness
to be plucked later
he loves me he love not
sacred heart carrying my heaviness
the sun smiles my tears are reflective
my blues mix with the sky, touching everyone
no one notices me cry
weeping for the beauty of living
forgetting the lost bits
and moving onward
parts of my soul rise as mist
they fly away on a lonely wind
to be ushered in as incense
a lovely offering to listening angels
who contemplate my sin
a vow of silence on their lips
I blend with the day
coveting memories
letting the rest drift
my heart is cleansed
beautiful day when the storm rolled in
carrying away my hurt on the winds
to be blown across an open field
I watch the gray sadness collect as fog
lighting on little flowers to open later
scribed on their petals my soul's sadness
to be plucked later
he loves me he love not
sacred heart carrying my heaviness
the sun smiles my tears are reflective
my blues mix with the sky, touching everyone
no one notices me cry
weeping for the beauty of living
forgetting the lost bits
and moving onward
parts of my soul rise as mist
they fly away on a lonely wind
to be ushered in as incense
a lovely offering to listening angels
who contemplate my sin
a vow of silence on their lips
I blend with the day
coveting memories
letting the rest drift
