love lost in translation
the telling too intense, I couldn't just tell you
that I love you
moving in close enough to touch, frightened me enough

your eyes shimmer with dreamscapes, I long to escape to
soulful need, I ache to reach in
tenderness on display but I held back
I was afraid

stalking your perimeter
I watch on as you handle yourself easily
my awkward movements make me feel odd
all angles, not many curves

your edge soft with understanding
I want to believe you
somehow I doubt
so I go away

my thoughts always wander to you
no matter how far I go
your steady pace leads me back to reality

stoic presence your hardy soul talks to mine
my love for you grows
sadness touches, then goes away when you grin
a smile that touches your eyes and I sigh within

my ache pulses I want to hold you
my silent love remains, even when I'm gone
even when I leave

to this day you have my heart
I'll always come back to find you
