The Young
Maybe later on I'll feel better
Maybe then we'll get together
We can have some drinks
And have a little fun
We can shine like the sun
We'll sing the songs we knew
Back in the days when we were young
And didn't know anything at all
About the pain the world dishes out
We'll smile and sing
And carry on like madmen
Like we did in the old days
But now the days are new
And we are old
And the world has rolled over on us
We reached the point a long time ago
Where there is less time left for us
Than time we've spent
Carrying on and having our fun
And it all seems such a silly waste
Oh well
There's nothing left to be done
Smile and laugh and have some fun
While the world rolls us up
Say good night
Or say goodbye
It doesn't matter in the end
Maybe then we'll get together
We can have some drinks
And have a little fun
We can shine like the sun
We'll sing the songs we knew
Back in the days when we were young
And didn't know anything at all
About the pain the world dishes out
We'll smile and sing
And carry on like madmen
Like we did in the old days
But now the days are new
And we are old
And the world has rolled over on us
We reached the point a long time ago
Where there is less time left for us
Than time we've spent
Carrying on and having our fun
And it all seems such a silly waste
Oh well
There's nothing left to be done
Smile and laugh and have some fun
While the world rolls us up
Say good night
Or say goodbye
It doesn't matter in the end
