Lost Traveler
Let's pretend
I traveled over a bend
I went back in time
For no reason or rhyme
To be caught and tried
For someone else's lie
My sentence was death
Uttered under someone's breath
I will not go easy into the night
Once the moon is full I will see the whole site
There are men, women, children and aged souls
All out to see the penalty dolled
I'll be the last to go
Making me witness this horrible show
One was stretched until every bone cracked
The crowd cheered as she ripped in half
The second was a beauty
For every man to see
That's why she was hung
Making lovers weep in misery
The last was me
The traveler lost in time
Convicted for asking a question
Something I forget to mention
The torture was a wicked thing
They cut out my tongue as they sang
Then shoved me in the center
Of a patch of dark mud
Realizing it's quicksand rising above
When I couldn't see the moon
Or breathe in the air
I awoke from the sleep
Wishing, mummy was there
I traveled over a bend
I went back in time
For no reason or rhyme
To be caught and tried
For someone else's lie
My sentence was death
Uttered under someone's breath
I will not go easy into the night
Once the moon is full I will see the whole site
There are men, women, children and aged souls
All out to see the penalty dolled
I'll be the last to go
Making me witness this horrible show
One was stretched until every bone cracked
The crowd cheered as she ripped in half
The second was a beauty
For every man to see
That's why she was hung
Making lovers weep in misery
The last was me
The traveler lost in time
Convicted for asking a question
Something I forget to mention
The torture was a wicked thing
They cut out my tongue as they sang
Then shoved me in the center
Of a patch of dark mud
Realizing it's quicksand rising above
When I couldn't see the moon
Or breathe in the air
I awoke from the sleep
Wishing, mummy was there
