I know who you are
I've lived with you forever.
A white dove in a dark space.
Trapped without light
You yourself become dark.
Flapping furiously won't lift the darkness
Sitting still might, If you have courage.
See the darkness for what it is,
The opposite of light.
One exists because the other exists.
Only the mind keeps them separate.
Did you see it ?
A pin prick of light
Landed on your wing, revealing
a tiny white piece of yourself.
That's how it always starts.
One speck of light in a gloomy room
Then another.....suddenly
a spark lights the tinder
buried deep in your heart and mind.
And you remember,you remember
Who you are and who I am.
Not separate.
Dark and light in a lifelong dance.
