Night’s Solace

After the sun faded, buried under the horizon
The sky’s dark drape fell, for the moon to emerge
Settling with grace on the heart of sable satin
Greeted by the septillion stars and lingering clouds

An eternal canopy glowing in wonder of the heavens
With the gentle breeze caressing my numbness
Blowing life into me, igniting my soul with warmth
With the night’s solace, I found beauty in quietude

They all listened to my story with soft ears
An embrace from nature soothing my worries
Wiping my tears with gentle hands, I felt safe
Wrapped in a cloak of the caring darkness
