My calendars are anciently old,
I wake up so shivering & cold,
wisdom is for the aged & the bold,
then the book slams shut & folds,
Your body moves and it slides,
inside of me passionately alive

Thanks. I don't see the connection between the last two lines and the first four.

The poem is about regretting love you could have had easily at at a young age and the regrets of not following through.
