Beauty Shell

Beauty shell
Ugly frame

Beauty shell
Ugly on display

Beauty in a shell
Nut comes out

Not so pretty
Not so pretty

Pretty ugly
Pretty ugly

Gorgeous in grace
Shameless displays

Puppet on string
Reeling daddy in

See beauty in her eyes
But her gaze can disguise

Pretty pumpkin on a shelf
Withers and dies on my cross

See light in her
But she dimmers

Takes me for a fool
Takes me back to school

Beauty in shards of glass
Broken hateful glance

How can I set free
The true beauty in her

When I can’t figure me
Or who I’ll be

Know deep down
Below the rotten core

Sits a beauty shell
Proud and strong

Hope she figures out
The true price of family
