Lifeless
lifeless, he said
and perhaps he was right
i’m not quite sure when she lost
the sparkle gleaming in her dark iris
the glow radiating from her ingenuous face
but somewhere along the way
she became this hollow skydancer
drifting aimlessly to the wind’s ravage
like a ghost dressed in tulle
as a soulless body with worn-out senses
and the hidden anguish
permeated her Moretta mask
turning languid and fragile
like her empty corpse
