Nobody Noticed
Nobody noticed… when I wasn’t in class couldn’t sit on my ass even tho I loved maths I’d rather be smoking grass
No wonder I never went back
Nobody noticed… when I was abused walking round with a bruise never could be amused and couldn’t tell the truth
No wonder I was prone to attack
Nobody noticed… when I changed cus they’re still the same stuck in their lane while look at all the power I gained
No wonder I carried the slack
Nobody noticed… when I disappeared for three years, changing gears, amped my life up through blood sweat & tears
No wonder I kept my guard intact
But everybody noticed… when their world fell apart, when they felt the sting, and the ache in their heart, they cried for the help that they failed to impart, blind to the hurt they watched tear me apart
But everybody noticed… when they felt the strain, when they faced the storm drowning in the rain, they looked for a hand but they never gave mine, while I battled alone lost in my own line
But everybody noticed… when they had to break, when life weighed heavy, and their souls began to ache, now they see what it’s like, feeling lost in the grey, still too wrapped in themselves to look my way
But everybody noticed…
when it was too late
