Microcosmic Daydreams

saturating consciousness
with what's all around
feeling new sensations,
listening to the sound

of traffic driving by,
the whoosh and whir of cars -
microcosmic daydreams
while moving through the stars

electrons, protons dancing,
spiraling around
everything all the time
everywhere they're found

in atmospheric molecules
keeping us alive -
in the similarity
to living in a hive

if seen from up above
we look just like ants
doing what we have to do
so we all advance

electrons  protons dancing,

conscious of the rhythm
in breathing's quiet sound...
