My Shadow

I was always scared of the dark
It seemed to be alive with no heart

I would sleep by flickering candles within my sight
Watching dancing shadows in the pale moonlight

A soft melodic whisper in my ear
“I have finally come for you my dear”

What should I do, where should I go?
The weather had changed, there is a foot of snow

“Why do you fear me dove?
I waited to show you my love”

The smell of cedar, musk, man
Was playing with my scenes to much to withstand

I should turn and see
Who was speaking to me

“Don’t move, make this last
I am your future that came from the past”

Heart pounding,reverberating through my chest
Gentle finger glide across my breast

“Say yes,
 to me,
 Tonight”

“ I have been waiting for so long”
My words seem to leave me like a sparrow in a storm

Images of the shadow dance across my mind
Moans and delicious groans, seeking to find

A soft kiss laid upon a rapid pulse
A curtain of black covered us both

“Say yes. Let me in your door
Unlock bolts let my tongue explore”

Want overrides sanity in my clouded mind
I whispered, Yes

I was his and he became mine.
