Friends let friends drive drunk

They were friends since childhood
They lived a few doors down from one another in a lower middle class neighborhood
They were inseparable
Once or twice they got into a fight
But by the next day they would make up
They went through grade school together
Middle school and High school
They graduated the same year
A year after graduation, the two boys attended a party
Around 1:30 am they were both leaving the party obliterated
They drove together in the same car
They lived about 20 minutes away from their homes
They were about 5 blocks away from their home, when the boy drove the car right into the back of a mack truck that was stopped at a light going 65 mph
The boy driving was decapitated, while the other boy had his head crushed from impact
A sad way to end a really strong friendship
They were inseparable, even in death
