One More Night

Alright, so I wake up, feeling like toast,
Sleep inertia’s got me—yeah, I’m a ghost.
Deep sleep yanked me from some weird dream,
Now I’m stumbling around like a broken machine.

My sleep schedule? Yeah, that’s a riot—
Body’s rhythm? It’s on a permanent diet.
Could I stick to a plan? In theory, yes.
But consistency and I are an absolute mess.

What keeps me up? Oh, let me count the ways—
I’m writing again, middle of the haze.
Then I check on the girls, ‘cause, well, I care,
Even though they're fast asleep, peaceful over there.

And that TV? Half the wall, full of glow,
Pictures so vivid, they steal the show.
It’s like a cinema screen right in my space—
Why sleep when explosions are all in my face?

No caffeine, though—I gave that a try,
Yet here I am, wide-eyed at the sky.
Alright, get it together, I need to reset—
Maybe some sleep hygiene? Yeah, not quite yet.

Dark room, no screens, maybe just one alarm,
Hydrate, stretch, what’s the harm?
I’ll get it right, start the day bright—
Well, maybe… after just one more night!
