Image for the poem wash your mouth with soap then kiss me

wash your mouth with soap then kiss me

liars in the mix
fifty fifty as you sift through all of the guile
then you weigh fantasy and pure fabrication

erase the guilt your needed sanctuary
ensconced in little white lies
that makes a girl a believer
and who knows I might romance a man

perhaps he is given to fancy himself
turning words over laced with truth
metaphors suggesting love
but well veiled promises

Romeo and Juliet
a tragedy or fantasy?

enjoyable tears shed
for a man too beautiful for me
my intelligence puts me in his league
but my past makes me low end

when I was a teen everything was an adventure
and the truth the circles you run in
wouldn't fit me I came across that type as teen
they're just no my thing

my pretty little liar
you know I wouldn't fit in your life
I might just say something if provoked

easy darling for you I would eat my words
but really that's the best part of me
seducing your ego
honesty is we fit here
truth is I know I piss you off at times
would you like it better if I lied to you
